This is weird... I'm importing Divx Mpeg4 V3 .avi's into premiere pro. The audio plays in the monitor and in the project folder, but when i drag it into the timeline, it's not there. Nothing. IT won't play and there's no evidence of a waveform in the timeline.. ---------------------------------

The WEIRD thing is.. I'm importing a bunch of clips with the same codec settings, and this is only happening to SOME of them.

Settings of the clip that doesn't work:

    640x480

    Audio:
    Duration: 0:24:02
    Bit Rate: 115kbps
    Audio Format: Lame MP3

    Video:
    Frame rate: 23.98
    Data Rate 143kbps
    Video Sample size 24 bit
    Compression: DIVXMPG4 V3

    working clip settings:

    640x480
    Audio settings
    bitrate 127kbps
    Audio format: lamemp3

    vid settings
    Frame: 23.98
    data rate: 165kbps
    samplesize: 24bit
    compression, divxmpg4 v3

i'm really stuck with this, anyone help me out ?

If the Audio is VBR Mp3 then I don"t think Premier will display the audio ,You need to use a Tool Like "Decompress.exe" to decompress the audio to PCM and then import the file into Premier...You should Probably do this with every file that has compressed audio before importing into Premier so you can avaid the problems that come with useing compressed audio formats....Cheers
