Preorder At Store Or Online? Whitch Is Better?

When they tell us a date that we can start preordering whitch will be better online or at the store? I always toughht online will be better because sometimes they ship befor the release date right? Well people tell me what you think because i am prying that i be one of the first million that gets one? I am going to start saving now. Also do anyone know when is the date that we can start preordering?

 

go with a store. TRUST ME! also you can call or even walk in the store and add 20 bucks u got in your pocket and ask about updates.

 

yeah man i would definitely pre-order at the store.

i read that sony has asked stores like gamestop to hold off on preorders until this september. if your wondering why, it has part to do with the limited amount being released and trying to avoid some of the choas or let down people had with the 360. simply put there were too many preorders and people who did preorder were under the impression they would get their console at launch, or by xmas..which for some was unfortunately not the case. i guess there trying to avoid this, but its pretty inevitable imo. also stores like circuit city, walmart, target, best buy...(to the best of my knowledge) are not taking any preorders, first come first serve...so get your camping gear rrrready. as far as online, i would be extremely careful as fly by night sites pop up and can be scams or very deceiving. im not saying that its not possible that gamestop may go ahead anyway and take preorders tomorrow, but i think they are waiting on numbers to come down from sony, as to how many per store.

 

Could sony saying this also combat the people wanting to preorder more than one and then reselling them on ebay? Like me

I never thought about the store pre order and then gradually dropping $25 or $50 bucks every other 2 or 3 weeks, that makes the price seem reasonable cause it's like finacing and it would be much better then putting $50 down then another $549 at launch.

I called my gamestop yesterday and my eb games, and they're not prordering till september. maybe because when the x360 was launched they had 300 people waitin on the list

 

Yeh EB screwed so many people cause they took far too many pre-orders.Now MS is somewhat to blame for not meeting demand but EB is stupid.The one where i live took pre-orders for ps3 and the 360 and was still doing so until a couple of months ago so imagine how screwed people who live in my area are.I would not preorder personnally cause of the risk so many store dropped the ball at ms's launch and if ps3 is going to have more demand which i think some people think it will then its going to be even wors so go to a store with the 1st come firts served system.

 

definitly at a store for 3 reasons
1. the web site could be fake
2. pre order might go to the wrong store
3. most places dont do the m over the internet

 

shipping could be XPENSIVE too!

 

store ,u can sleep next to the store the 16th and get it the next day when it opens.

 

i already ordered mine at the oxford street game, thats where i got my xbox 360, its great b/c they normally have a dj, food, and a buzz that makes it all worth while standing out in the cold.

yea i called eb games they said september 1st but that is just an estimate, due to high demand and shortages.
