Well,i'm still at it, trying to mod this 360. I had a ben q with 1.51 on it (used to send it to somebody), and tried to mod it myself when several of my backups weren't working. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOQ06cLAo_k is the tutorial i used, but then the write failed, so i rewrited, erased, and tried to rewrite, but no luck. The tray wouldnt open so i tried out this tutorial http://www.elitemodscene.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=62 To my surprise, it actually worked to an extent. It said write ok, but then when i try to play any backups or actual games (rockband) it just comes up as dvd. So i'm pretty much lost at this point and hoping one of you guys can point me in the right direction. ty in advance.
Sounds to me like you wrote the wrong DVD key to the drive. Reread the flash and check the key against your original firmware dump.
o ok ty, but it seems to me like you forgot that you're talking to a nub here lmao. What does that mean? Should I go into jungleflasher again? What happens when i get the key, should i redo that dosflash tutorial i previously used?
when u did the unlock benq,u should of click on read and it would of gotten the key off,hope u saved it,it should be like BenFW something like that cant remember or if you named it something else,just hook the drive back up,read the key u have it flashed with and open your firmware (your key where u have it saved at)then open ur flash firmware and spoof it write and whalla
ty vm everyone, I used the BEN CFW on the desktop (figured that would be the file), then used the usb boot thing, dosflash and it worked. Even l4d2 worked with the boot disc
if you can flash it yourself you should upgrade to 1.61 so you don't have to use the activate iso anymore. and hopefully LT will be out pretty soon for the benq so you can use that.
