I have been printing on the Verbs for quite some time with outstanding quality. They almost look store bought. Problem, I rubbed one that has been printed for over two weeks with a wet finger and it smudged. Does the ink never get water resistent. I use epson printer and ink. This suxs
Yes, it never gets water resistant. Some inks are better than others, but they're ink on paper after all.
I use Ghiant Fixative Spray. You can get it in satin, gloss or matt finish. The fixative spray makes the ink waterproof, smudge-proof and more lightfast. It costs around £6 for 300ml.
Wait until you see the Glossy Injet Printable Verbs that are out in the U.K... We may have to wait a while down here in New Zealand but I bet they are already in the States??
Well I just don't understand, when I print photos they don't smear with wet fingers, I just tryed one. Looks to me like it would dry on the paper like anything else. How long does it take that spray to dry? Maybe thats a fix
I have been printing on Verbatims for several months now and have around 200 prints so far with NO ill effect. I am using a Canon Pixmar printer.
Have you seen the new Glossy Verbs??They look awsome http://www2.verbatim-europe.com/index/press_releases_view.php?article_id=663&lang_id=1 Do you use Canon Label Print or another labelling program?? I suppose you know its quite easy to set the Canon Software to Print right up to the Hub??
