My Epson R200 seems to be nearing the end of a well-lived life. Having Windows 7 (64bit), I'm also finding that drivers are an issue.

Are there any current printers that can print direct to disc (CD / DVD) and yet also handle day to day printing?

The Epson R200 seemed perfect but, after moving to Windows 7, it doesn't seem to be able to handle printing to discs any more.

I'd be quite happy to stick with another Epson, as the inks were well priced, but my main two issues are printing direct to disc surfaces and Windows 7 compatibility.

    EDIT 1:
I have since found an answer that works. I suppose I'd have tried it eventually (Tray 2) but, for those who've had similar problems, have a look: HERE

    EDIT 2:
Also, I have found an effective - so far - replacement for InkSaver. Have a look at this: PretonSaver
Though you need to apply for a licence, the licence is free. Aside from support for Windows 7 32 bit (standard), the 64 bit version is also supported. I'd like a couple of tweaks, but it's a nice bit of software.

    One question remains:

Are there any other "direct to disc" printing alternatives? What's the Epson R300 like and are there others in the R Series that are better?

    Thanks.
