printer problem

    My main O/S is Vista but i partitioned my hard drive and put XP on the second partition,everything is working ok except for the printer--when i try and install the printer i am getting a message that the printer is not connected.
    Any help with problem would be much appreciated

    problem solved.......it was a driver problem
