I am using a Hewlett Packard Laserjet 1100 with xp operating system

A small job was sent to the printer which than came up at 200+ pages, I immediately cancelled the job. However it continues to print pages with weird code and symbols and will not stop. I've tried the following:
*unplug the power from the printer for over 10 minutes
*unplug the cord between the printer and the computer
    *restart the computer

The printer que doesn't show anything so I'm very confused, any help would be greatly appreciated as this is our office printer at work and we will need it for paperwork tonight. Thanks

I'm pretty sure you can clear the cache on Laserjets in the menu.

Cool. i use a few HP Lasterjet 4L's and sometimes my youngest causes tree-loads of gibberish to get stuck in the printer's buffer. On Mine i hold down the (only) button on the printer for a while and it reboots or resets the cache/buffer.
