Needing to print dvd covers, never done this before. I have a Canon Pixma MX300 All-in-One (Inkjet) printer I just purchased. I have found the website www.cdcovers.cc that I plan on using to download the covers. Which paper should I purchase? I'm hearing that letter sized may be too small, some people suggest legal size as the printer is able to hold on to it & print full image? Is buying perforated paper worth the money? Looking for a good price, decent quality. Also, do I need to invest in a program for centering the covers? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!
Hi, I like 32 lb HP Premium choice Laserjet paper. I use 8.5x11 Print the covers at 10.7x7.15 inches and they will fit well in store bought regular size dvd boxes I also us MGI Photosuite 4 as my printing program
Thanks for the input!! I have been looking around at different postings on different sites & the more I read the more confused I became. There are just so many options out there! Thanks again
I use the Staple's brand in the glossy photo 8.5"x11". You can pick up 30 sheets for well under $5 when on sale. I use basic windows photo wizard. It does a very good job and my case covers usually look better than the originals. Create a folder for your dvd covers. Then go to covers.cc,locate the correct cover, let it open up,right click-Save picture as,and send it to that covers folder. Now when you open up the folder, point at that cover, right click/print.Next/Set that canon to do the printing, click print preferences/select the correct photo paper and quality high quality.Next/Full page print. Don't tick the cropped. Then ok and she'll print. Then just snip the top and sides and cover should be the exact size of a regular 14mm dvd case.
