A plane simple request, if possible under our user name have a button to check our private message’s.
it sure would save us time...

or put it in this line

(private message’s) (Link to this message) (Report an offensive post}

 

how much time could it really save? There's a link at the top of the page for you're private messages if you're logged in. 2 seconds of scrolling at the most I think.....

Yea I'm with zipp here we have that link plus we can link to our name and that also takes us there a longer way. I personally don't see the advatage here.

@ aabbccdd -- i thought that every one got notified via e-mail, but maybe people just want it because it would be easier to check. lazy slobs.

 

Whats easier than recieving it via email and then just clicking a link?

let me tell ye why i asked for the above,i or some of us get over a 100 e-mails a day..and some times its very hard to look for a e-mail
from afterdawn with the private message..

it would be a lot easer to check for pms from our posts

 

Ok, I think I understand what Ireland is asking for now. Something like phpbb or vbulletin that tells you whether or not you have any private messages if you're logged in?????

I really don't know how much additional load that would add to the servers placing an additional query on each page load to check if you have private messages. Maybe on the main page in the uppper right in the box that says: "Manage your account" instead of saying "view your private messages" it could say "private messages: 0" or something similar. That way the query is only on the main page load and not all pages.

 

i agree with ireland its a b*tch go try to remeber a name even copy and paste takes time lol,but this ways tis easier adn i believe its not that hard to add compared to all major changes

 

I agree if there was a way to impliment bieng able to see that
you have a private message without having to enter the PM page
itself would be a great addition.

 

Well it sounds like a good idea, but aint u getting your private messages via your email account anyway. I like it the way it is.
