Problem AnyDVD updates with dial up connection

When downloading AnyDVD updates for about the last 6 weeks, after
rebooting it would have the same old version instead of the new one.
Tried a lot of solutions and 2 trips to the shop only to find I had
the same problem again. Finally today I found the answer. Some
dial-ups are making changes because of Vista coming out. Going on
line and using the search engine to get to the web site no longer
works. However if you go in your programs and use internet explorer,
the program works like it always has. Thought some of you who are
running into this same problem might like to know this. Up till now
all the techs and experts and slysoft couldn't figure out what was
    the problem.

I haven't heard of any problems except with dial-up. The problem
has occurred with those of us that had Netscape's search engine.
If you connect to your dialup-minimize it to the task bar-open
interent explorer--then update it works fine. The reason the
techs couldn't find the problem was they were using their faster
connections to do the update and assumed it was working fine. So
the faster connections may be okay.
