Actually AnyDVD is out with the new version 6630 which fixes the new moon problem according to them. Have it installed and ready to go.
I have tried and anydvd returns an error. 6.6.3.0 I was able to get a laptop run vista home premium to rip with 6.6.3.0, but WIn 7 (64 bit) anydvd doesn't work properly.
What is your setup? My XP won't allow me to run at all, trial period expired and foxkiller won't reset it. Win 7 64bit, won't run without an error, vista home premium ran ok, just slow on a laptop.
I just finished watching my ImgBurn DVD +R DL back up with AnyDVD and it played flawlessly and the movie was a disappointment. I have also backed it up on a DVD +R using Any and Nero recode. No problem. AnyDVD rules. I have Fab but have not tried it yet; will later. If your trial has expired, AnyDVD will be useless. You need to buy the program and all things will be easy in the future. I'm using XP SP2, all updates disabled for XP.
AnyDVD 6630 and Shrink worked fine for me. I did movie only minus credits and compressed at 76.1% Looks GREAT on my 70" HDTV.
I just picked up the new Twilight series New Moon, I saw it in the theaters and new I wanted a coppie and I would watch and lend it out a bunch and would need a good back up. As much as I spend on my movie collection I like to be able to back them up for free but of all the pay to play programs I am glad I invested in Any DVD and clone DVD because they never fail. With the new Any DVD 6.6.3.0 i had to start it a couple of times to get it to open the disc it would say there was no DVD present and Any DVD would shut down but after restarting Any DVD a couple of times after the rabit head turned red Clone DVD created a solid back up with no troble. My setup is windows Vista Home Premium 32 Bit I'm sorry I have two home desktops and the one that worked the way I described above has XP Pro I get confused because the one I posted from is the Vista. That stinking Dame Bramage.
No joy with full disc and DvdFab. Still trying a couple of other methods, but as of right now it doesn't look like it's going to cut it until they update again. AnyDvd ripped full disc with no problems. I guess I should have mentioned that i own anydvd, I was trying to use their download on another computer and even after i had loaded it, it came back expired, the laptop was purchased used so I'm guessing anydvd had been loaded before, and I found that killer program via google. Didn't work anyway so i will have to wait on tech support for a resolution.. The version on my xp system is 6.6.2.6. and won't let me upgrade to 6.6.3.0. for some reason. I tried running it through win 7 which is on the same system (dual boot) and it won't work properly I believe because i loaded win 7 64 instead of 32 (which i also purchased)
Thanks for the link to the 7.0.2.5 Beta version. It backs up Twilight New Moon, main movie, just fine. Just be sure to change the titleset that DVDFab automatically selects (#1) to the alternate 2hr 10 min titleset (#4 I believe).
ANYDVD 6.6.2.6 will back up just the movie of New Moon but, you have to select Title 01 as the default was title 12 which was blank. Although it listed 2:13:57 running time. Title 01 was 2:10:30 running time. It wont back up complete disc. I have upgraded to 6.6.3.0 on my main burning computer but always keep former version on a second computer.
I just backed up new moon using Ideal DVD Copy with no problems (entire disk), and used Nero to copy.
I wonder why no one has started a DVD Fab HD thread i would love to see one so I can post when I have questions about it I know I see it mentened alot in diffrent forums.
Used anydvd 6.6.0.9 and it wouldn't work until I unchecked the preserve menus button and it worked with no problems.. If I try to copy with the menus preserved, it would not let me do it at all..
DvdFab questions can go in this sub-forum: http://forums.afterdawn.com/forum_view.cfm/78 And the DvdFab update thread is here: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/583712
I just upgraded my DVD Fab to the new Beta 7.0.2.5. Never got the movie to finish reading on Full and Main Movie. After about 15-30 sec. it says to insert Disc. Running Win XP SP3 32 bit. I have always been able to back up my original movies with DVD FAb after seeing on the forums that it has been successful with other users. I'm in USA using Region 1 New Moon Disc 1. I tried putting the disc in both my DVD-Rom Drive and my DVD-Burner Drive, to no avail.
I am tring to back up twilight new moon with clone dvd2 and anydvd. they both run through the process fine but when it is finished my dvd players will not read it and neither will my computer. it is like the disc is blank. I am using windows vista 32bit. both programs have been updated. i am also having the same problem with the movies Old dogs, and Did you hear about the Morgans. this programs were working fine before when i was using the trial of dvdclone2 but now that i bought it it has not worked. Any help would be great. thanks to all.
