    HI,
I recently purchased a 500gb sata drive and took out my ide hard drive, but my ide hard drive had the MBR on it. I was wondering if there is anyway to move that to my existing Vista sata drive because i really dont want to reformat vista if i dont have to. I have a 120gb sata drive with Vista on it but Ive always had to have my IDE drive first in the order for it to boot. Can I change this without reformatting vista. Like by somehow moving it to my main drive?

Un Plug your hard drive then boot your pc will say missing boot disc turn off pc and plug sata drive in to sata 1 slot then re boot.Your pc should then boot and if you have additional hard drives you want to install shut down and add one then re boot each time for each hard drive.

Changing boot sequence does not always work as bios will always look for ide as first boot. Sometimes you have to show the bios what you want.
