I am trying to backup a dvd using Nero 6.6.1.4, AnyDVD 5.9.5.3, and a Cyberhome EX162E-A DVD DL burner. I bought some Ridata DVD+R DL Discs, and have wasted 5-6 discs already. I thought maybe someone would be able to help me before I wasted any more discs. I am copying the Nero Log file below, any help would be appreciated. Thanks. This tells me your burner does not like your DL media. Don't feel bad, I have a spindle of Ritdata Ritek DVD+ DL media I can't use either. Your first layer burn was fine, but the second layer burn caused it to choke. I'm in the same boat too. I'd say to update your firmware, but I don't see any updates. Try better media such as Verbatim DVD+ DL. Buy and burn one disc first to make sure it works. You don't want to get stuck with another spindle of worthless discs. Other points of interest... Don't multitask and close unneeded programs to free up some memory. Your version of Nero, according to other members, has bugs. Switch to 6.6.0.18 for the latest bug free version. You may want to slow your burn speeds down on DL media. I burn all mine at 2.4X, even though I could go 8X.
