i just recently purchased a linspire/linux computer. i didn't want to pay for their service so i installed windows xp pro. Everthing was ok until i tried to play music on my computer and it said thier were on sound devices or mixers on my computer. i want to keep my windows so where do i get sound devices to be installed in my computer that will play.

if the computer is a namebrand like hp, dell or whatever, what is the make & model# so can find the info. if the computer is a clone than what is the make & model# of the motherboard usually printed near the center of the motherboard like asus.
