Hi. Here's the scoop...I have data DVDs that have VOB files on them. I meant to make them as a video DVD. I want to make a copy of some of them, but this time as a video DVD. I put the Data DVD into the computer. I start up Nero Burning ROM SE. I open up the DVD to the Audio and Video_TS folders and drag them over into Nero. Nero starts copying some of them, but eventually I get a error box saying "The file 'D:/Video_TS/VTS_01_3.VOB' could not be read." There are multiple ones that Nero can't read. I ran one of the data DVDs through CDCheck and it was free of errors. So why is this happening and how can I burn my video DVD?!
Dear compgeek1, I note that you have the entire dvd on a data disc. In that case, you can try several methods, but it's better first to copy all the contents of the data disc onto the harddisk if you have not already done so. 1) Try use Nero Recode: Run Recode, check 'copy entire dvd to dvd', then go highlight the video_ts folder of the movie on the hardisk, and follow from there. 2) Try use Shrink: Run Shrink, check 'full disc', 'open files', go highlight the video_ts folder and follow from there. If this still doesn't work, try check 'reauthor' in Shrink instead. Good luck!
