I posted about this problem in this thread of the forum http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/52/390312#4964272

As you've hopefully read I've used a Nintendo Wi-Fi USB connector to connect he PS3 to the internet and save about $80. My problem is currently that i get a DNS error 80710102 when i test the connection settings. All forum searching on the internet has lead to no answers so my only apparent option is to ask those here who may know the answer to help me. BTW Yes i have tried using 4.2.2.2 and 4.2.2.1 and 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 as my dns.

Thanks in advance for any help.

IT is a terrible route to use anyway. I don't know why you say it would save you $80...a good quality WiFi router costs less than $60, and will work quickly and efficiently (unlike ICS). People like you who band-aide their connections together are a big part of why it is almost impossible to complete a team mission in any online game...because people like you log in, start the game, and then drop the connection...ruining it for everyone else.

As far as i can tell in Aus it's $80 and I say 'waste not want not'.

You are wrong that people like me ruin team missions as 1.I'm not interested in team missions and 2. I can't connect at all to play them.

All i wish for is a simple connection for patches, Playstation network and PS3 updates.

What are your ISP's DNS addresses - these are the ones you should be using?

    The modem's DNS's are
    61.9.134.49
    61.9.207.1

Put them as the DNS and they didn't work
