I installed Nero 7 Premium with InCD. After reboot, both my Toshiba DVD reader and NEC DVD burner were not recognised by Windows. So, I did a thorough cleanup of Nero 7 by uninstalling the product and removing all references of Ahead, Nero and InCD using the Registry Cleaning feature of jv16 PowerTools 2006. I also used a Windows Explorer search in order to delete all those references from all files on the system. The two optical readers reappeared at reboot. I then tried to install Nero Premium 7.2.0.3b in this "clean" environment. During the process, it asked me whether I wanted the installation process to remove all existing items. I answered yes, it apparently did so and rebooted afterwards. The installation process did not resume automatically. So I launched it manualyy and after a while, I got successive messages from InCD Reader stating that An error had occurred during the installation of the “shared.txt” item. Always the same message, five or six times to which I kept on clicking on OK. I never got to the point where I have to enter my CD key or Choose the options I want. I did another thorough cleanup and moved back to Nero 6.6.0.15 which works perfectly without InCD Reader after a no-problem installation. Does anyone know what this “shared.txt” from InCD Reader is all about?
Heres a copy of what I wrote in a thread about 7.2.0.3, since writing this other errors keep cropping up. I have recently dealt with 3 log files that show this error 21:09:20] DVDEngine ERROR [21:09:20] DVDEngine cause: 128 (nmc_processing_exception) [21:09:20] DVDEngine source: CDVDProcessor:rocessSector [21:09:20] DVDEngine description: buffer overflow [21:09:20] DVDEngine and they all have occurred in Neros latest version of 7.2.0.3...never before this version had I seen this error. My recommendation to ALL those who have version 7.2.0.3 is to uninstall it, run this clean tool http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html and then revert to 7.0.8.2 which has proven to be BUG FREE, you can get it from here http://www.filehippo.com click on Nero 7.2.0.3 and then select 7.0.8.2 for a bug free version Another stuff up by Nero [bold]If you go for 7.0.8.2 you will have to run this clean tool as well[/bold] http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/en/Clean_Tools.html
Thanks for the tip. I won't be in a position to try this out on my friend's pc before two weeks time. I'll report back whatever the outcome.
INCD is a known conflict and i suggest you do not use it. Even Nero knows it causes conflicts as they made the zapper for their own program. To remove INCD use Nero's zapper. http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/InCD_CleanTool.html Also 6.6.0.18 is the bug free version of Nero 6x. You could update if you are going to stick with 6x. http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_burning_rom/tech/?539
Hi Mate You say version 7.0.8.2 is BUG FREE i've Backed a number of my cd's up (MP3 format) which play OK, But when i copy them back to Audio to play in my car they're always jumping it's not my player because i've tried them on 4-5 other cd players, But if i burn them using nero 7.0.1.4b they will play perfect.
