Hey guys. I'm trying to merge 19 avi's into one big file. Each one is between 5-200MB with the total time being about an hour or so. I converted them from 720p mov files from my camera down to 640x320 avi files.

When I go to merge them in vitualdub I open the first file and everything is fine. It shows up as about 5min long. The second file is similar in size and length (again about 5 min) but when I hit "append avi segment" all of a sudden the two files show up as about 70min worth and the audio is all out of whack.

Any ideas as to what is happening

At the bottom of the append dialog box there is an option
"autodetect additional segments". If this is selected, the program
will automatically append all avi's that have consecutive
    names, such as abc1.avi,abc2.avi, etc,etc.

This may or may not be what you want. If you deselect the option you
can manually append them, one at a time.

If VDub is having problems, I would try Avidemux to append all your video segments....
