ok i have an xbox 360 just bought like 30 days ago and my live is up today and now i would like do the the fw hack here is the details i have an xbox with the ts-h943 drive my mobo is a k8n neo4 i have all the things needed but i dont know if this combo will work someone please help me
first you need to open up your machine to find out which kind of Samsung drive it is. it will either say ms25 or ms28. report back then we'll help you out.
it is the newest one cuz i had it open today and me and a tech guy looked at it i believe its the ms28
umm, it should, i have the VIA chipset on this MOBO and on my other one i have the SIL chipset, and it reads samsungs so yours should too, im not sure what model your SIL is but it should work just fine EDIT- it doesnt matter what drive it is, as long as the chipset will read a samsung drive.
if someone wants to add me to msn so i can ask them how to doo all this and figgure out how to tell if i have the right chipset that would be amazing
use xtreme boot maker and if it reads your chipset and it makes the drive bootable your chipset will work
Ofcourse it matters whether it's an ms25 or ms28 drive, flashing method and/or things to consider before flashing would be different.

I used this program to find out what my chipset is. It is a freeware called CPU-Z. (I apologize guys if this link is not allowed)
