Problem playing backups with Swap Magic 2.0

    For years I've been using Swap Magic 2.0 DVD to play my backed up PS2 DVD games. All of a sudden today when I try to play some of my backed up games, some work and some don't. And nothing has changed with my system or my backups. What could be going wrong? I tried cleaning the PS2 and cleaning the DVD discs. Thoughts?

    What DVD media are you using it could be crappy media.

    Sony DVD-R.

    Strange thing was that after leaving the PS2 on trying to boot a backed up disc, the audio from the game came on but no video. Other backed up games on the same media work fine.

    I *think* I solved the problem. The only thing different today was that I switched to a new LCD screen which only supports NTSC. My old screen was able to play NTSC and PAL games, and some of my games are PAL. And sure enough the PAL games didn't play. That is probably why the video didn't show on the one.
