problem put VCD on DVD DISC

    I VCD movie and want to transfer to a DVD blank disc never did this at ALL. What do I actually need to make this work I did read something on [how to put VCD's on DVD] they show something and software to use download them and try it didn't work plus it's NEW to me have excellent burner to use. Could somebody explain what to do and use in simply form meaning:what I need in software to use exactly what first,what to click on first step by step detail appreciate to finish product when it's on DVD disc.

    Get VCDGear, and extract the vcd.dat file from the VCD to mpg.
    Import the mpg into something like DVDLab, author and burn to dvd.
    Although a VCD is not truly dvd compliant, 99% of players will work using this method.
    You should be able to fit 4 (or even 5) VCD's onto one disk this way.

    Just a little correction: resample the sound, which is MP2 44.1 kHz ((S)VCD standard) to 48 kHz (DVD standard).
    I think this should encrease compatibility.
    I seem to remember I read something about it on http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/ about this, and it proposed to use Womble MPEG-VCR....
