Hello all, sorry if this question's already been answered in a FAQ somewhere...

I'm trying to use VirtualDubMod 1.5.10.2 to convert MPG to DivX AVI, I've check the 'sync audio' and 'drop frames to keep up' options, but the audio still goes out of sync after about a minute. Anybody know how to fix this?

I see that VirtualDubMod hasn't been updated in 3 years - does anybody know of a similar tool that's being updated?

Thanx in advance to anyone who replies,

VirtualDub (the original program) is actively updated.
The mpeg plugin is available to load MPEG/linked VOB files.

Is the source out of sync when loaded and played back in VirtualDubMod.
Click 'Video' and 'Frame Rate' and if the numbers show a variance, set the 'Change so video...' box and save a short clip to test.

OK, I'll try that, thanx...Also, I discovered that the Power Video Cutter (shareware, $20) will do what VirtualDub does and keep the audio in sync...But does the opposite of what VirtualDub does with a marked selection. So for now, until I can get the PVC author to add a feature that will toggle the delete/extract mode of a marked selection, If I have to delete junk in a clip I'll use VD with fccHandler's very fine MPEG plugin; if I want to do the reverse and trim/extract, I'll use the Power Video Cutter. :)
