    Hello all,
I have just ran out of my trial on anydvd and clonedvd 2. Towards the end of the trial, the programs stopped to work, some dvd's would burn correctly, but some would still not fill up the disc completely. I purchased it and am still having the same problems. I have a compaq notebook, and im using verbatim media. I have backed up dvds before with ease, and am now having this problem.

My problem is that, when i backup the dvd, it will go through the stages all right, and then it will pop out the disc, and the disc will still have extra space on the bottom. It is not completely full, the media is all towards the middle. It fills up about 94 percent of the disc on the bottom, and the rest is still the original color hencing no media was put on that. Please help me out here anything would be appreciated, and if any other info is needed, then i will be glad to tell you.

    Thanks

did you try watching the movie to see if it is the whole movie in a stand alone. some movies don't take up the whole discs, just like some albums don't take up the full cdr

It's hard to know without some more info, like your laptop model and the model of your laptop DVD+RW. What OS and other burning applications (Nero?) are you running and is your system's ASPI layer up to date? How big is your hard drive and how much space do you have on it? All of these and your media (Verbatim) are potential problems.

I had a problem with my HP laptop and its DVD player 2x. The first time HP service replaced it with a different brand. They use one brand that is horrible, and they will switch it out under warranty for the better Mitsumi. But, I jumped out to NewEgg and bought the NEC slim burner as a replacment and turned HP's player into an emergency back-up, though I use my desktops for burning and only occasionally will burn a DVD data disk on my HP.

You might try different media first, check your system's ASPI next, and then re-load AnyDVD/CloneDVD.

Do your disks play on your players, is the movie all there? Did you choose movie only, some movies are not big enough to fit a whole disk and you will have leftover space. As for an Aspi if you are using Clone and AnyDVD you do not need one, Clone uses it own layering program and if you run XP most programs will utilize the XP SPTI. Aspi is only needed by some programs such as IMTOO.

I do advise you to retype your post in lower case letters if you want a answer to your question,

    read
    Some Say it's Rude!
Using all caps has become the written equivalent of shouting or being aggressive (see Enter a chat room or post a message in a discussion group in all caps and you will be inundated with comments like "stop shouting" and "newbie". Your use of all caps, besides being rude, could give you the appearance of being less than savvy in the technology world.

    example below

    It's Hard to Read
From a practical standpoint, text in all caps is much harder to read because it eliminates all ascenders and descenders from words (those are the long lines in letters like “p,” “d,” or “h”). People tend to read entire words, not the individual letters. The ascenders and descenders help us recognize words. See the paragraphs below as proof.

Aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoetnt tihng is taht the frist and lsat ltteer be at the rghit pclae. The rset can be a total mses and you can sitll raed it wouthit porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe.

Did you find that the all caps version was more difficult to read even though you knew what to expect? Did you notice the all caps version takes up two more printed lines, as well? If you’re not convinced, do a little survey .
