Hi This is my first ever post on this forum. The problem is i bought a back up version of flightplan few weeks back however when i tried to copy it it would say disk read error. it says this on nero startsmart, dvd dycryptor all the other films that i get which are backed up most work when i try to copy them please help
well i bought the film off ebay and when i recieved it.It was a copy and not original thats why its backed up film. so any suggestions on what i should do?
first of all you should contact ebay and tell them they are allowing people to sell backedup movies. that is against the law. second it sounds like the person who copied it the first time did a poor job of it.... do you have anydvd or dvdrebuilder?you can rebuild itt or use the ripper that is with anydvd and rip it to your hard drive and try and copy it from there.
Thanks for reply however cant i just rip it to hardrive using dvdfabdycryptor and burn it using nero or something?
yes you can use dvdfad to rip it to your HD then use what ever it is you have to burn with it. i was just suggesting anydvd cause it will fix some bad disc you might have when your doing the ripping
Ok il try with dvdfabdycryptor first and if that fails i will follow your method ill let you know what happens you have been good help
@bilbo was i right on my instruction on what to do with the bad disc he has. im not a totally sure on the dvdrebuilder have only tried once. bu ti know anydvd works great ripping damaged disc to make a good backup.
well i tried fabdycyrptor but it just froze halfway and wouldnt go anymore il now try anydvd to see if it works with that
@huz_99 i hate to say this brother but you got a bad discthere your trying to copy. did you use the ripper thats with anydvd? right click on the fox head then click on rip to your hard drive. that ripper has a tool in it to repair some of the bad files in the disc. im not a 100%sure about doing at any other way....if ya look in some of the other forums.or do a search for arniebear. he wil/might be able to give ya better advise on what to do....
More than likely since this is a backed up disk, it has been done incorrectly and probably on bad media. If it is a backup it has no protection on it so there is no need for AnyDVD you should be able to make a 1.1 direct copy if the disk is on a single layer DVD5 disk. You have not stated exactly what media the movie is on, or what errors you are getting, this would be helpful.
media wise i know its dvd-r and of G05 dye.Its got artwork printed on the disk so cant really tell anything else the error il check properly however my writer is on the other pc i have,so i wont be able to copy and paste however il try to get the main errors down could it be a problem with the write? although some disks get ripped normal while few dont because of disk read error thanks for help

This disk is damaged/scratched/dirty. As stated try cleaning it, or as cincyrob suggested try DVDFab Decrypter/AnyDVD which will sometimes rip scratched disks better than Decrypter. Otherwise you can try isobuster to see if it will read it, that is the last resort. http://www.isobuster.com/download/
