Problem updating my dashboard

    Can someone pls help. I want to update my dashboard from 2.0.8507.0 to 2.0.8955.0(latest version). I'm not on Xbox Live.I downloaded the update manually and formatted my USB pen drive to Fat 32, placed the extracted $SystemUpdate folder in the root of the pen drive and plugged in on of my 360's usb slots. Booted the 360, but no update happens. Please help. Thanks

    I had the same problem as you, i also tried it with a cd and it didn't do anything.

    that should have worked, dont know why it didnt. try playin a NEW game(wave 5), I think they have the update on the disc
