I am trying to follow the guide to compile full DVD including subtitles, but when I open Virtual Dub (version 1.5.10) and try to add the vobsub filter, I cannot find it in the list of available filters, though I have vobsub installed (version 2.23). Can someone pls help me?. Thanks

You need to have vobsub.vdf (upto v2.23) or vsfilter.vdf (for newer versions) in your VDub plugin folder. Much better to not encode the subs and use soft subs. Subtitles are hard to compress, plus then you can't turn them off.
