I downloaded the new FW and all seemed to go well, but i can't seem to play files that are more than an hour long. The longest file i have played with out problem was about 40 min. long. But evertime i try to play a full length movie i just says the data is not supported. And i have checked to see if the file is copyrighted and it is not. Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it? By the way i have the file i am trying to playback is a Xvid file, but like i said i have shorter Xvid files that playback perfectly.

As far as I know, the PS3 doesn't support XVID, even with the new update. I assume you're using Tversity to transcode and stream? If this is the case, there is apparently an issue between the PS3 seeing the original file length and the transcoded length - meaning that it will cut out when it thinks it has reached the end of the file. If indeed you are using TVersity, there are a few threads about this on their own forum. Cheers.
