Hi, I am trying to burn video files to DVD (using NeroVision Express 3 SE), but have encountered a problem. I have created a menu for chapter selection with custom pictures and a song, however the burn process does not get beyond "Preparing Menu 1 for transcoding". I believe that the problem is due to the audio track, as I have removed the song and the project burned without a problem. However each time I add a song the process does not get past preparing menu 1 for transcoding. Has anyone encountered this before or have any tips on how to fix the problem? I would really like to be able to have a song in the menu. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Paul.
What type of file are you adding? Can you convert it to a different type and try it? Have you tried different files of the same type and do they fail also. I don't know if there is a time restraint on the audio, or file size, or anything like that. Is the file available during the process? Does that version of NV Express SE have that capability?
Hi, Thanks for the reply. I was trying to use an mp3 (full song ~4 min), which it recognised as a supported file type. I also tried using different mp3 files but they all caused the same problem. Last night I converted the file to a PCM Wav file using Nero Wave Editor and the project burned without a problem using the new file. The audio file size was much larger but that is not really a problem. So I guess I will just do that each time in the future. Still not sure why it wouldn't work with an mp3 though. Thanks again for your response. Paul.
I just tried setting up a Smart3D menu button using an MP3 file and got a warning about the project not burning correctly. The line at the bottom turned red and there was a red warning message on the bottom of the Burn Options page. If I used the default menus, I got no warning message.
