i have all 7 seasons of buffy but have noticed a problem with one of the disks. season 2 disk 6. is not playing. its saying its a data disk. iv talked with others that have the same problem. is there away to fix this?
As a newbie I am not very "technical", so I haven't a clue how to solve the problem - but I do know my Buffy, which might give some of the more technical people a hand! There are several diffent versions of the Buffy DVD's and they vary a bit as to what is actually on the disks. They also vary between region 1 and 2. Some of the DVD's - and Season 2 disk 6 is one of them over here in England - have additional "data" which is only readable if you know how to get into it - and on a computer, not a DVD player. My non-technical guess would be that something in the burn got itself confused. You'll have to depend on the more experienced to help you identify what it is, but they might not know about the "background data", so hopefully this helps!!!
I have backed up all 7 seasons. Season 2 Disc 6 works fine in my standalone. My originals are Region 1 discs. I just used DVD Shrink to back them up. Are your's region 2 discs?
nope mine are region 1 . i borrowed a fiends box set. all seven seasons. and out of all the seasons disk 6 from season 2 is the only one with this problem. iv talked with 5 others who have had the same problem with this disk.
