Hi, I wonder if anyone can help.

I'm having a problem burning DVDs, using Nero, and then DVD Decrypter, the burn gets 50-70% the way through, and then fails.

I tried making a CD (audio), and that worked fine with Nero in the same drive, so it seems the problem is only burning DVDs (as it can still read them). The drive is a Pioneer 108 BTW.

I suspect I will be purchasing a new drive as the same thing happened with my Pioneer 107 (and 106!) - I just thought I would seek advice before doing so, in the chance it wasn't a lost cause.

I had a burn a few weeks back that just hung, it started burning, but then nothing happened after a few minutes of burning, and after pressing 'Cancel' in Nero the program just hung, and after pressing Ctrl+Alt+Delete, I couldn't close/end the program, or open the DVD tray - and had no option but to restart my computer. This has happened before, and it hasn't affected the burning capability, but I can't imagine it being good for the DVD drive.

Well, I just thought I would seek advice before purchasing a brand new 109 drive (Pioneer must love me!), any help or advice would be greatly received.

    Thank you

    Mia
