Use good quality media, Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim , any Made in Japan and burn at 1/2 the rated speed of the media (TY at least 8x). Here's a quality chart to look over: http://www.digitalfaq.com/reviews/dvd-media.htm (watch out for TDK, thought I read they outsource and have some of the worst too).

Is there another solution to this problem. Mine started doing the same thing too not to long ago. And i am using the same discs that i have been using. The program goes through all the motions but it just does not take. i put the disc in the dvd and it takes it forever to read if it does read it. neither of my computers read the disc. they read it as blank. this just started a couple of weeks ago. i have uninstalled and reinstalled with the same results.

Use ConvertXtoDVD to create the DVD Folder but burn it with ImgBurn (free). You can use it to booktype + media if you have a compatible burner too.

Just an fyi, if you were having ConvertX automatically delete the files after burning, leave "Burn result to DVD" checked in the burning tab, but change from your DVD burner to "ISO image in working folder".

The in ImgBurn, select the ISO file in the ConvertX folder and you can let ImgBurn auto-delete the ISO after it burns it to disc.. You can let ConvertX also auto-delete the files after it creates the ISO.. That way, nothing left to clean up on your drive when you're done.

    Hi,

I use VSO's burning engine all the time and have 0 issues.

But I do use Taiyo Yuden and Verbatim media, nothing else !!!

Verbatim for me and a friend I work with as well,

works in every player I've got, but my friend finds anything she burns with the VSO burn engine will not play in her suv's player (and when she's taking a long trip with her kids, that's something that has to work!!)... Otherwise everything else she's done plays wonderfully.. So, that's where the ImgBurn route came in... takes a little bit longer, but she can play everything she burns when mobile and the kids are happy!!
