My two daughters have M3 DS Simply cards using 1 GB & 2 GB Kingston SD cards. Some of the games I have downloaded will not work,on some the blue game loading bar fills up and others even go through the games intro and language selection before a message comes which says"Could not read the data.Turn off the power and reinsert the DS Card".Any help would be appreciated but please if you are going to use new fangled language like firmware or bumping or FAT 16 remember you are talking to a crusty, old balding man in his late thirties who really didn't pay enough attention at school and has been left behind by technology. If it's not too much trouble when trying to explain things pretend you are talking to that retarded kid who lives down the street who you only see twice a year when he escapes the attic.

quite a funny description of yourself there mate , dont think i should be laughing this much at this time in the morning , lol.

right lets get to your problem , its a very easy fix mate , so dont worry not to technical .

the firmware is on your micro sd memory card that is inside the m3ds simply and is 2 files and 2 folders , sounds simple enough .

what you have to do is update the 2 files and 2 folders to the latest version for the games to run fine .

all you do for the new firmware is firstly download it , you need the system v1.11 English version update get it here under "console software" - http://www.handheldsources.com/M3DS/Download_M3DSS.html

right now you have downloaded the latest firmware you will need to unrar it , once unrared you will have the english folder , just open the english folder and your new 2 files and 2 folders will be there.

now to put the new files and folders on your memory card , place the memory card in the card reader that came with your m3ds simply and put it in your computer ( in the usb slot ) .

now copy the new 2 files and 2 folders to your memory card , it may say something like "do you wish to overwrite files already on the memory card" , just click yes !

right thats it new firmware has been put on your memory card for the m3ds simply was that easy enough ?

just put the memory card back into the m3ds simply and put it back in your nintendo ds , switch on and enjoy playing those problem games .

any more questions just let me know , woof811.

ps. i might be easier to follow if you print this page .

Thanks for all the help,I have successfully followed your great instructions and everything is working fine now.

I've even started using a few words like firmware,hardware,fat32,flash cart etc in the bedroom and the missus is lovin it.

If I ever work out what friend codes, kernels, bumping or moonshell mean I'm sure she'll be even more turned on.

    Thanks again.Keev
