My dvd-rw keeps freezing up when i try to install a game. It works well when i install the first disk. But when it says to install the 2nd disk, it does not respond and freezes up. I get a white screen and the mouse pointer freezes. I have to reset the computer every time. Can someone please help. I have read of a lot of people having problems with the burning part of these dvd-rws, but never what im talking about. Thanks in Advance for any Help.
This points to a bad disc. Can you read the disc in the drive under normal (non-installation) conditions? Does the light on the drive stay on while the computer is "frozen"? Can you eject the disc using the button on the drive?
