I am using Nero 7 Recode and Vision 4. I have a video with 2 VTS files where I want to edit out some things in Recode. When I try to combine the new segments into one large VTS file, I end up with multiple segments which causes problems later in the process. Vision will usually combine the Recode segments if it can, but it seems to be having a problem. I tried stitching the segments together in Procoder2, and it said I had open GOP's (from Recode), and wouldn't do it.

Anyway, I think need to look to another program for editing this video. Any suggestions on a simple program to edit out some things, and then combine into one single VTS?

Thanks. Before I posted I googled everything I could think of, as well as dl'ing the 30-day trial of DVD Lab Pro. After spending a few frustrating hours with Pro I decided I'd try to find a simpler, more intuitive program that didn't seem to have such a steep learning curve.

I'll look over some of the Lab guides that are around as see if I can get it to work for me...but I am still open to a simple vob/vts editing program that is not concerned with menus, chapters, etc.

I had the same problem with my VOBs, I really didn't like the way they were split in more files. Then reading TMPGenc Help file I found out that PC with a FAT windows must devide the files, because the FAT manages files only up to 1 Gig.

That is a good point Charyoup. Since Win XP has been around for awhile now, most are using an NTFS OS. Personally, I'm using W2k (NTFS) for this project.

Are you suggesting, however, that I try TMPGEnc? Which one?
