problem with eurovox ex5000 pvr

i've done a fctory default and a full scan.
i'm getting the 13 transponders and the names of all the channels are coming up but Scrambled Channel keeps coming up on the Screen.
does anyone know what he problem is?
i know there are firmwares available for the 2006,2007 and 2008 versions but is there one available for this model?
i bought it in the UK so i'm wondering is it set up for UK Cable and not recognising the NTHell Cable signal?
any advice would be great...

 

Flash it with version 1.1 firmware, in Eamos at the bottom of my post.

No problem, but there are few teething problems in relation to the HDD have a look around at a few threads here if you havent already installed one.
