    Hi there hatt,

Give us just a bit more information, Please?

DVD Shrink cannot burn a DVD, it has no engine - did you burn it with Nero perhaps or with DVD Decrypter ?

What media did you use ?
It's an important question, please supply an answer -

What format were you using VOB ? ISO ?
Was your burn engine set for the same format as you produced using DVD Shrink ?

Why did you have to use DVD Decrypter ?

Did DVD Shrink not work ?

Did you rip this from a DVD or was it an AVI ?

A tiny bit of reading on your part to learn what information we needed would have saved me a lot of typing trying to pry answers from you -

Let's answer All the questions and get back to us -

    Thanks much,

    Pete

I just made one with DVD X platnum and the same thing. The movies burn fine and then when I went to use it I could not use the movie.

I am using memorex DVD+R ( I have had good sucess with this in the past)
I tried Decyrpter first in ISO mode then in file mode.
When I was in file mode I was able to shrink it and sent it yo my DVD burner. I have done this before and it worked fine. I'm not sure how I would set it up for Nero I do have it but I don't get that option. When everything was fiished it said burn sucessful.
I ripper if from a DVD and I tried oth ways because both would not work for me. I am thinking now it is the DVDs because usually my DVD X works good.
I hope I gave you all the information.
    Thank you

    Actually no you didn't.

It isn't possible to burn a VIDEO_TS folder using DVD Decrypter. You say you needed to rip it in the file mode, what did you do with it then ? You said you shrank it (I assume using DVD Shrink) but what did you burn it with and with what settings ??

You need to get a handle on what's going on here - I do this in my spare time because I enjoy helping others - you don't want to even help yourself, what does that tell you about yourself ? Yea, I think that too -

Since the only thing you will tell me is the type of media you use so I will help you there -

Memorex is a good example, figures as high as 50% coasters have been reported (One member bought a stack of 50 and got 23 good burns.), not what I would call an impressive record.

Let’s get your media straightened out -

    1. * Cheap media freezes, skips and stutters, pixelats, partially jams, may be rejected and lest we forget, our old standby, giving you the old just refuses to be recognized. :-(

Besides "Freezing", "skips" and pixelations, many times you’ll get a “cyclic redundancy error” or an "I/O error". This message can mean that your discs are scratched or dirty, it can also mean that your burner won’t accept your “cheap” media :-(
Inexpensive media is great for text, Data, Spreadsheets, .Jpg and .Gif pictures and is good even for MP3 music BUT for DVD backups - BLAaaaaaT! It SUCKTH in an extremely Big-th way !

    2. A good grade media is needed for DVD reproduction !
Ritek G04's or Verbatim are what we’re looking for OR any media boasting “Advanced AZO Metal Dye”, this indicates a superior dye application, while they are sometimes a bit “pricey” they are acceptable.

Prices online from Meritline.com have gotten Ritek G04 down below a dollar a disc -
Question - If you make coasters out of 3 cheap discs and good copies from 3 Verbatim discs or 3 Ritek G04 discs - which ones then will you say are too expensive ?

Bear in mind, Memorex, Fuji, Sony, TDK, Orange Pack and others are quite good for your MP3 music, picture archives, Spread sheets, Data and your text backups and archives, they just don’t work well for DVD backups.
Remember, for DVD backups, purchasing inexpensive media is a gamble, some people win, the majority of people lose, varying amounts but, they still lose :-(

Using good grade media can guarantee you one thing to an absolute certainty, it surely cannot hurt.

Let's try the right media for the job -

Should you ever decide to part with your Oh, so valuable information and answer the questions posed to you I may continue to help -
