ok first question for you, does your computer recognize that your xbox is connected? if not you need to check your connections. my suggestion to you is to use a crossover cable and directly connect your xbox and your pc instead of going thru a switch and see if that helps. and also, post up your networking settings for your network card.
if the xbox IP is 192.168.1.2, what IP is your machine running on? set the IP in the ini to USE STATIC IP:NO and see if that helps._X_X_X_X_X_[small]I wasn't born with enough middle fingers. rod.Liquidirc.com #ad_buddies [/small]
I also found that you must have the computers NIC setup to be shared if you are using a crossover cable. Also make sure that under the advance share setting you have FTP server checked. do you have an already standing network?
yes you should be able to connect with that setup. or if you can get bulk cable and ends, i can send you a wiring diagram to make your own crossover cable, it's only 2 wires that are switched. you need to remove that signature, there is no advertising allowed here and the mods or the boss with ban you for it.
