I get the following error message when i run the livesub installer

ERROR: Problem copying files. Exiting. :cp: cannot stat '/mnt/loop/livecd.sqfs' : No such file or directory

    What do I do?

It can't copy the file.. either because it doesn't exist, or because the device it is trying to write to isn't mounted or have that location writeable.

Surely pclinux forums usb installation section would be the place for this, not randomly posted on a site where TBH if you can't read an error code and work it out we don't care.

While I understand a person needs to direct distro-specific questions to the distro-specific forum, maybe you should consider the option that the person already did such a thing and couldn't really find the help/info they needed. That kind of thing isn't unheard of.

Basically this attitude of "if you don't know how to fix the problem yourself, fck off" is for the fckin' birds. If you know how to fix the problem, or think you might know, help the person out... if you actually care about people switching permanently over to Linux and leaving Windows behind.

That's because we don't give a rodents rectum.

USB installation is VERY hardware specific. The specific distro wikis and forums have lots of guides and topics about doing this.. there is even a site called pendrive linux.. all about installing to and from and running from usb. They haven't looked on the distro site.. their question is answered there.. with a whole section of the forum with the title of the question.

back to your windows nobrainer.. welcome to FOSS world. where honestly we DON'T give a flying fsck what you use.. so long as you use your brain.
