I don't get what the big deal is. I know memorex is cheap, therefore you should burn as slow as possible. I've been reading the comments and it seems that most of the problems come when you burn faster than 2.4 speed. Anyone have experience?
Memorex have a very cheap form of dye on the disc itself. I used to use them, and it would usually take me 2 or 3 burns to burn a proper copy of a game. And yes, because of the cheap dye used, it is extremely hard on the laser. If you are going to use them because of money issues and how cheap they are, I would recommend installing the game to the hard drive, that way you are not using the laser during gameplay.. therefore, your laser will last a lot longer. While we're on this topic, does anybody know the quality of FujiFilm DL's? There's a sale on those right now.. just curious.
