I used nero express 6 to burn some mp3 dvds. On the first dvd the mp3's had only the ID3v1 tag, title, artist, album, year, but after burning it all the years had been removed on the dvd mp3's. Then I tried with only the ID3v2 tag, now after burning all the mp3's also had the ID3v1 tag marked, but not with the correct titels or anything else. Why does it screw up my tags?

I am not that familiar with the ID3 tag system, but no one else has volunteered any information, and I can't seem to find much on Nero to help.

I suppose you can see the tags in Windows with file properties, and it that where you are editing it. The site below seems to say there are several variances of how tags are done and almost every version of a media player uses a certain standard. I don't even know for sure if tags are burned with a cd, or if that information is placed in the CD Text that may be burned when making the CD. Do you have the CD Text option checked and does your burner support it?

I also saw where sometimes the Tag information is actually stored in the utility's library and not actually part of the file. Are you using the Nero User Data Base?

I did see this on the Nero Site:
