Hey hey, I just recently started backing up my DVD's. I usually run ANYDVD 6.3.0.3 in the background, and use DVD Shrink 3.2 to "Shrink" my dvd's down and rip them onto my HD. After I get a DVD ripped to my HD, and burned (through Nero on a DVD-R), I'll pop it in my PS2 and check a few scenes on it...just to make sure everything turned out clean, crisp, and like I expected it, you know how it goes. Well, this morning I popped one of the DVDs in to watch, and after about 15 minutes, I noticed that my Audio starts screwing up. It skips and I start hearing a sound once every like 3-4 seconds...and I have NO CLUE why-this is happening on about 1 out of every 10 I burn. Also, I found out my DVD's I burned works on my PS2, but I got a portible DVD player that won't accept any (whereas my buddy brings some DVDs over and she can play her backups on the portible device...no clue what's up with mine > ) Well anyways, some DVD's work perfectly, but some have this audio flaw. I decided to finally use Clone DVD2 that I have (downloaded the trial version...currently unregistered). Well, I was ripping '310 to Yuma' and the movie came out perfect. the thing is, it was JUST the movie (it didn't rip any menu's, special features, etc.). I've tried DVDFAB and DVD Decryptor, and dont really care for them..I figure if DVD Shrink -AND- Clone DVD are messing up in one way or another, then I'm doing SOMETHING wrong. I really like DVD Shrink, and the only problem I really have with it is the AUdio cuts out on a lot of DVDs after 10-15 minutes of viewing time. Can anybody PLEASE help me? I've been reading this forum a lot in the past couple weeks, and ya'll seem like kool kats helping people, I figured I'd at least ask. Movies I've backed up with Audio flaws (that I know about): Rush Hour 3 Shoot 'Em Up Thanks for ya time, take it easy peoples, -J-
Is it that the movie, ripped to the folder, has audio problems, or that the DVD burned from the folder, has audio problems? Does the movie play back ok from the folder before burning?
Well, the original store-bought movie is perfect - no probs. The copy on my computer (my files) is the first to show signs of missing audio when I play the movie back. I burned it to a disc (to make sure it wasn't my computer) and the burnt DVD also had the problems. I've ripped this movie to my HD twice now - it has the same problems :-/
