Ok so she has a video ipod and it got corrupted or something. She says she doesn't care if she has to erase everything on there as long as she gets it to work again. So I'm trying to restore the ipod on the itunes at work but nothing gets prompted after i click the restore button. Is the problem that she is not using the original itunes she started the ipod with or what? any help would be much appreiciated.
Ok first it sounds like itunes is not recognizing the ipod, i don't know if you don't this already, but here it goes, put the ipod in disk mode do this by pressing the menu and center select button at the same time until the apple logo appear then immediately release the menu button and press and hold the play and center button at the same time until you see a check marck show on the screen, now the ipod is on disk mode, now you can connected to the computer an restore it on itunes. let me know if that worked for you.
