OK I created DVD files on my Hard Drive(VIDEO_TS,AUDIO_TS). Burned them to DVD+RW 4X with [bold]Nero[/bold] 6.0 OEM. Tried to play the DVD in a cheap DVD player that can only play my DVD+RW 4X and not DVD+R 8X. The DVD+RW would not play. It gave me an invalid disc error. So I took the same DVD and erased and burned the disc using [bold]Sonic[/bold] Record Now. Put it in the same DVD player and now it works. When I use Nero to burn DVD-RW 2X for my Sanyo player it seems to freeze often. Using Sonic doesn't cause this problem. After I add the files in Nero it gives me this message: [bold]You have added DVD-Video content to a compilation type that will not result in a DVD-Video compliant disc. To create discs playable in standalone DVD-Video players, please use the DVD-Video compilation type.[/bold] How is this done? In Sonic I just create a Data DVD. I thought Nero would work the same. Where do I select DVD-Video compilation type?
Try looking at this GUIDE http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/burning_dvd_with_nero.cfm See if that helps you at all )
My problem was that I was using Nero Smart Start. Using Nero Express and selecting DVD-Video files gets me where I need to go. Thanks for all of your help man..
Ew, Smart Start, A classic example of a good software manufacturer making things more complicated than they need to. Glad you got it going anyway.
