Many thanks to you if you can help me out with this problem... So I'm running Windows 7UE (and I'm loving it) and it was installed clean on my desktop (by me), for my DVD burner I had a LG (HL-DT-ST DVD-RAM CH22LP20) with firmware 2.0. When I initially installed Win7 I had a different DVD burner (can't remember but it was aftermarket) and I had installed Nero 7UE. Nero was working then one day my burner died hence the new LG. After installing the LG, Nero continued to worked great. However due to a problems with CloneDVD Mobile, I couldn't downgrade back to version 1.2.0.1(anything after 1.2.0.1 had issues). So I decided I would do a fresh install of Win7 again and reload everything and it worked until I got to installing Nero again. Nero actually seemed to install fine. I went to burn one of my movies (as per the guide here at afterdawn - and as I've always done) and it looked fine but then I got a "burn process failed" it took about maybe a couple of seconds from when I pressed the burn button. I don't know if it had something to do with my drive or not but I looked and found out I already have the latest driver for it. I've tried changing the "compatibility mode" back to Windows XP and that still doesn't work. Should I just consider upgrading to a later version of Nero. I'm hesitant because it sound like the later versions are either buggy or not as good. I really don't know myself, I'm just going off of the reviews I've read. --OR-- Is there a different program out there that will allow me burn my movies (VOB files and such) to DVD. Is there something I'm doing wrong or should I just try a new DVD Burner? This is extremely frustrating at this point. I did manage to save some logs afte the failed attempts but I can't post them. If I do post them, what part of the log do I need to post? Again as I said in the begining: Many thanks to you if you can help me out with this problem...
Well if anyone is interested... 1. Went with Nero 10 trial, it works. 2. I feel derrr....C1oneDVD does what I wanted all along...derrr.
