Hi, New to using Nero for DVD burning. Been using for cd burning for some time with no problems. I installed new Nero software with a new DVD burner I recently purchased and thought it writes to cd's just perfect I cannot get past "checking discs" portion of the DVD burn process. Nero stops responding and I have to restart my computer to do anything else. I'm using Nero OEM Suite with Nero Burning Rom 6.6.0.16 on Windows XP Pro (5.01.2600) Service Pack 2. Any help or insights to this problem would be greatly appreciated, I was unable to locate any similar problems on any of the other posts. Thanks
I don't think you can run both Nero retail and OEM on the same machine. Check their web site FAQ for advice. I'd be inclined to try to use the Ultra Retail edition if you can make it work so you get the most features. Then again, I only use Nero to burn so I only install the Nero Burning Rom package and maybe the media player thing. Trying to run both is bad though.
