hi there, i have updated my nero 7 with the new update form the website, i also have a pioneer dvr-108 dvd rewriter. when using nero vision 4 to make a dvd, i add my video files etc. and it fits to the disc automatically saying 4.37 out of 4.38gb. so i do all the titles etc and transcode it, once this has done it wont copy after transcoding, it says the disc isnt big enought wen the dvd-r disc is brand new 4.7gb. can anyone suggest whats happening? i then go down stairs and do exacly the same one the other comp which has the same nero 7 updates and the video settings are the same but different dvd rewriter (phillip - less than a month old) it transcodes it on there and copies it no problem. anyone help it would be greatful if you can cheers
I believe that menus take up space. The disk was almost full when you added the video files. Maybe the menus you then added caused a problem.
yea, but i do the exact same downstairs and it works fine wen i ad the titles n everything so sumerts not right sumwhere on the upstairs comp.
i have updated the firmware for my dvd rewriter and updated my nero and tried the same again last night and still no luck, just says the discs not big enugh after transcoding, when the disc is big enough and brand new. any ideas?
So we can take a look at what is happening, post your LAST failed Nero log, located here,Nero 6 history log location: Program Files>Ahead>Nero>NeroHistory.txt Nero 7 history log location: Program Files>Nero>Nero 7>Core>NeroHistory.tx The log at the top in this location is the latest.

This looks a little strange: Do you happen to know what the NeroHistory.log says on the other computer says about this. Maybe comparing the two logs will show something. If Nero is showing a 4.37 gig compilation, maybe since it is so close to full, it is misreading something. Try changing it to DVD-9 and see if the graph changes it's estimate.
another thing i dont get is that the disc is 4.7gb, nero says it can only fit 4.38gb and the porject with the video files and that come to 4.37gb dont understand that ether when theres like 330mb missing.
This is just another error I am seeing in this version of Nero, the previous version 7.2.0.3/b were "buggy" as this one appears to be. Uninstall, run this clean tool http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html and then install this more stable version http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/?845
