My roomies comp. has a virus that has to be removed (manuely) from the registry. when i try to open regedit off the start/run/regedit/
i get a message that says (regedit is not a valid win32 application)
can someone give me a clue as to where to start.

Just had that prob myself the other day helping a customer. Another option to get into the registry is, Start, Run, regedt32

thanks again guys, the information you gave was very helpful. it didnt fix all my problems, just 99.9% somehow as you sugested i lost the ability to get there with a path. so i`ll use the other way (regedt32) it works fine.
    thanks again
