hi i'm new to this board. so hi to everyone. i just bought the new Pioneer DVR-108 with a BYTECC 5.25USB 2.0 External Enclosure, Model "ME-320U2B" instralled. however nero or dvd shrink error out. can write dvd. can anyone help?
this is what it tells me if i burn at any speed. SCSI command aborted PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-108\H4 T0 10:51:52 PM #23 Text 0 File ThreadedTransfer.cpp, Line 229 all writers idle, stopping conversion 10:51:52 PM #24 Text 0 File ThreadedTransfer.cpp, Line 223 conversion idle, stopping reader 10:52:05 PM #25 Text 0 File dlgbrnst.cpp, Line 1713 Set remaining time: 0:00,000 (0ms) -> OK 10:52:05 PM #26 Text 0 File dlgbrnst.cpp, Line 1713 Set remaining time: 0:00,000 (0ms) -> OK 10:52:05 PM #27 Phase 38 File dlgbrnst.cpp, Line 1855 Burn process failed at 2.4x (3,324 KB/s)
I can't say. I just bought the DVR-A08XL which writes dual layer. Some recommened this drive over the Sony DRU 710 and I hope I don't regret it. What I was wondering is did your external enclosure come with an 80 pin eide cable? I guess most do, however that was a caveat mentioned for speed.
One other item perhaps most important I'm hearing is to verify and keep up with firmware code upgrades for compatibility issues altough again I think its not related. Man alive, I looked at the link reference by davelarge and there are sure alot of problems. I gotta get my drive fired inside my firewire/usb enclusure with my C800 laptop and see how it goes.
