problem with Resident Evil 2

i recently downloaded Resident Evil 2 and noticed that just before each player starts talking that the game has a .5 sec hang and then plays fine. why is this? my pot is at 179 and i haven'y had this problem with other games.

I have a Xeno GC
Burned at 1x speed
LiteOn-1693s burner
Only games that has audio errors

 

So whats the problem! if it continues to play fine! its probably something to do with the DVD disk or something! It does get annoying, i see where ur coming from but hay thats the price you pay (or dont pay) for having back-ups and not originals!

 

I get the best results with back-ups burned at 4x.

 

4x works crappy for me, i have to burn at 1x speed so i wont get DRE's.
ImgBurn is crap since eveytime i burned a ngc game it just never loads on my gc. Nero 7 works good.

 

Your results are completely opposite of mine...

 

when i burn with ImgBurn, i leave al the settings to default and set burn speed to 1x and burn the iso. when i put it in my gc it can't even read it. but when i use nero 7 all my games work on 12x full dvd+r, lower speed on full size give me errors. dvd-r don't work at all on my cube. i have tried taiyo yuden, verbatim, optodisc and much more. full size dvd-r doesn't work at all. weird huh? ritek dvd-r/dvd+r dont work either. only the minis ( about 25% of the time) and verbatim dvd+r work

 

Wow... your GC is pretty damn picky.

I use Fujifilm and Verbatim DVD-Rs with my GC and they work just fine.

So that's your results after having adjusted the pot and cleaning your lens? I'd hate to have your GC.

maybee im burning the -r's wrong? i burned em the same way as i did for +r's. only +r's seem to work and mini riteks also. it's weird since ritek minis are dvd-r's and my gc can't read fullsize dvd-r's. that totally sucks!
