Problem with Sony DAV DX-250

    It's a Sony 5 disk DVD reciever. 2 tower speakers, 2 small surrounds, center and sub.

    The speakers emit a high pitched whee when plugged in. Loudest on the furthest right speaker inputs to the left.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi, maybe a faulty earth on an input, maybe a transormer emmitting a nasty noise, or even a dirty mains to your socket. Not un heard of.
    Worst case could be the amplifier chip/processor has blown also.

    Be nice if you told me what the model number it is, and is it one unit? or seperates
